Water Filter

Product Description

• This ultra-light unit provides protection against giardia, cryptosporidium and other organisms of equal size or larger such as ameba, tapeworm eggs, etc
• Filters particles and micro-organisms down to a nominal 1 micron level
• Replace filter when filtration becomes slow
• Can be used with a straw or pump

Instructions – With a Pump:

1. Press fit 2′ tubing into the tapered hole in the top of the pump.
2. Press fit pump onto top of filter.
3. Immerse the filter in the water to be filtered and the end of the 2′ tubing into container for purified water.
4. Pull the plunger on the pump up, pulling water up through the filter.  Push down on the plunger forcing water through the tubing and into the container.
5. Continue the above action until the desired amount of water has be filtered.  Pumping rate should not exceed 1 quart in 1.5 minutes (a comfortable rate).
6. Vertical operation of the pump is preferred so that the ball check valves operate properly.

Instructions – With a Straw:

1. Remove 1.5″ tube from filter.
2. Attach furnished 6″ tube to outlet on the topside of the filter.
3. Immerse the filter in a container of stream water and drink through the tube the same way you would a straw.
